PARAPLEGIC TROUSERS
Paraplegic Trousers project aims to help paraplegic individuals to walk again. The foundation of this project was laid with the studies initiated by Konak Medical company in 2008.
After the studies reached a certain maturity, the first patent application was made and then, we founded Konsol Ar-Ge ve Teknoloji A.Ş. (Konsol) in partnership with Insol at Hacettepe Teknokent.
Our Paraplegic Trousers project, the prototype of which is being developed by Konsol, is also supported by Tübitak.
We are aiming to conclude the prototype as soon as possible and start commercial-production oriented activities. Our primary target is to enable doing maximum work (walking) with minimum energy. In the long run, we foresee that Paraplegic Trousers may also be used in the defense industry.
In other words, we are developing low-cost "Paraplegic Trousers" at prices which are accessible by every paraplegic person, and which can meet the needs of its users throughout an entire day.
