Millennium Generation [1995 - 2001]

A very small intermediate generation.

Generation Z [2000 ? 2003]

This generation, which is also known as the Net Generation takes pleasure from creativity and innovation. It is practical and internet is now a piece of their lives.

And generation C [2003 and later]

This generation, created by the youth, who are the products of recent years is a ?Connected-Communicating-Computerized? generation. Because this generation denies memorization, lives the moment and does not think deeply. Because, they can instantly find what they are looking for on the Internet. What the impatient generation C represents is the ?content?. The foundation of generation C is based on the concepts of ?content, creativity & community?. Those in this generation are creative, they create their own content; they can easily obtain, easily distribute the instruments that create the content; and create new ways to interpret. However, they experience a concern of status and belonging.

In our day, competition in every field is shaped according to the features of this generation; however, those who can step up with the generation can survive.

This obligation causes to an inevitable situation in the world of education. Because, while the use of computer in education rapidly expands in the entire world; it also brings along new developments. Electronic book, or in other words @-book is the most leading one among them.

What is @-book?

@-book is a specifically designed digital file for reading on computer.

@-book covers all features of its printed alike, except for the paper, while it also includes voice, video and interactive connections.

e-books, which can easily be downloaded from the internet, and which can be sent by electronic mail can also be delivered to the reader in diskette or CD-ROM.
